1)Stop these running processes:

startupfolder+\powerreg scheduler v3.exe
startupfolder+\powerreg scheduler.exe
systemroot+\desktop\startup\powerreg scheduler.exe
systemroot+\start menu\programs\startup\powerreg scheduler.exe

2)Removal instructions



Now reboot and check that you have successfully removed PowerReg scheduler from your system, if so move to the next issue. In not please post feed back.

Now regarding TR/Vundo.Gen.
Please download setup and run the following, in the steps below.
A) VundoFix
B) SUPERAntiSpyware Free Edition

1.VundoFix from here.
2. SUPERAntiSpyware from here.

1a) Setup VundoFix and run following the instructions, once done reboot the PC.
2a) Setup and run SUPERAntiSpyware and again once done reboot the PC.
3a) Now turn off your system restore and reboot once more then turn system restore back on and make a new personal restore point.
4a) Run HJT again and post the new log please.

Ive searched these forums for how to fix this trojan, but every post ive seen is specifically related to that users problem. it seems quite a few people are getting this one lately but no clear steps to remove it can be found...

heres the info i have, i dont quite know what this forums bug help request format is... so heres my attempt!

Virus Name: TR/Dldr.ConHook.gen
Files Ive Seen Infected (in the "Detection!" prompt)
c:\WINDOWS\system32\vtsqq.dll
c:\WINDOWS\system32\dvnakwhy.dll

was infected with this file. However, I cannot seem to remove it. I downloaded the virus removal tool and it cleared my system. After I had to restart, it seemed to turn up again. A few of the problems I'm having include a notice to insert a disc to start Explorer.exe on the startup screen, various popups and searches that take me to eBay (only in IE), and of course, Norton is popping up notifying me that I'm infected with several different viruses.
