For remove Generic3.HVZ virus,please clean/delete all Generic3.HVZ infected files and Delete/Modify any values Generic3.HVZ added to the registry as following:
Generic3.HVZ virus file D:/Recycled/autorun.inf and X:/BOB Project/Recycled/ctfmon.exe
Files to delete:
D:/Recycled/autorun.inf
D:/Recycled/ctfmon.exe
X:/BOB Project/Recycled/autorun.inf
X:/BOB Project/Recycled/ctfmon.exe
Generic3.HVZ dealing with is also known as Win32/VB.AQT. I have the same problem except my servers are not windows based so cleaining them is becoming an even bigger challenge. some AV apps call these trojan's Generic, Generic10, etc but you will find very little on the web regarding those names. I finally got an ID of Win32/VB.AQT and that pulled up several hits of information online with infected file name matches and information that matched my problem.
(Generic.ZWE, Generic3.GIB, Generic3.HVZ, INF/FakeRecycled, Trojan-Dropper.Win32.Small.avc, Trojan.Vb.AQT, Trojan.Win32.VB.aqt, W32/Trojan.XUP, WORM_FUJACKS.AX, WORM_Generic, WORM_VB.BDN, Win32.Worm.Fujacks.AJ, Win32/FakeRecycled.A)
For successful remove Generic3.HVZ virus,you may also need do as following:
1. Temporarily Disable System Restore .
2. Update the virus definitions. Reboot computer in SafeMode;
3. Delete the IE temp files,some Generic3.HVZ temp file exisit there.
