For remove TraceSweeper virus,please clean/delete all TraceSweeper infected files and Delete/Modify any values TraceSweeper added to the registry as following:

- %UserProfile%\Start Menu\Programs\Trace Sweeper\Trace Sweeper on the Web.lnk
- %UserProfile%\Start Menu\Programs\Trace Sweeper\Trace Sweeper.lnk
- %UserProfile%\Start Menu\Programs\Trace Sweeper\Uninstall Trace Sweeper.lnk
- %ProgramFiles%\Trace Sweeper\tracesweeper.exe
- %ProgramFiles%\Trace Sweeper\tracesweeper.url
- %ProgramFiles%\Trace Sweeper\unins000.dat
- %ProgramFiles%\Trace Sweeper\unins000.exe
Next, it creates the following registry subkey:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\Trace Sweeper_is1
It also creates the following registry entry so that it executes whenever Windows starts:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run\"tracesweeper" = "%ProgramFiles%\Trace Sweeper\tracesweeper.exe"
For successful remove TraceSweeper virus,you may also need do as following:
1. Temporarily Disable System Restore .
2. Update the virus definitions. Reboot computer in SafeMode;
3. Delete the IE temp files,some TraceSweeper temp file exisit there.
